Ibis Styles Portland Street is ideally situated for visitors arriving by train - it's just a short walk from Piccadilly Station. Efficient and efficient check-in on arrival in a quirky Reception area - the rainy city theme continued to the bedroom allocated. Room was compact but very comfortable. The décor developed the rainy city theme and the blue umbrella shaped bracket was very impressive indeed - as was the wall covering with the famous 'Rain rain go away...' lyrics. Breakfast offered a good choice of hot and cold items in a very relaxing setting. Loved the choice of cheese from the continental options. Staff were courteous and helpful each morning. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to tourists and business people - great location with easy access to Manchester city centre,

I came for a concert in June, and booked again for another concert for September. The hotel room in June was alot bigger, sofa and space to get ready. However I paid more in June, and breakfast wasn't included. Yesterday's hotel room was smaller, but usable, clean, no issues. Breakfast was included this time, and it was lovely. Really enjoyed our stay. Staff friendly. We arrived at 12pm and asked for early check in and got it no problem. June hotel room was 3rd floor, September hotel room 5th floor. Photos are of the hotel room in June and then September. Both Queen rooms.

Beds are so comfortable! Rooms are well equipped with iron/ironing board and space for hanging clothes which is nice! The staff are always happy to come in and change bedding/clean the room which is also really nice to come back to after being out all day

The hotel is lovely, drinks from their fridge in reception are very over priced but there is a Tesco, spar, Morrisons, Aldi and Lidl all in walking distance. If I was to visit Piccadilly again I'd stay at this hotel

The room was clean and quiet, as requested. I had been assigned a room at the rear of the hotel, which I appreciated. The room itself was quite small and the desk was a moveable on on wheels. I think it was fine for a single night and I got a good night;s sleep. The breakfast was included and the range was fairly good but not very imaginative.

Would thoroughly recommend the hotel for a break. Rooms were spotless, housekeeping was first class, plus any requests were met without any problems. Breakfasts were tasty, with a wide choice of either cooked or continental. The staff were friendly and efficient, with a special shout to Kayleigh who was lovely and extremely helpful. Location was top notch with both Manchester piccadilly train station and Piccadilly bus station within easy walking distance. If we return to Manchester in the future will certainly use it again, and would highly recommend it.

Great location, close to the train stations with Piccadilly gardens right on your doorstep and Canal street and China town a couple of minutes walk away. Staff are really helpful and friendly, and the rooms are a good size. The WiFi is fast, and the shower has amazing water pressure. The bed has sockets on both sides with USB ports built in. Everything was spotlessly clean. The room comes with extra pillows, and the mattress is pretty comfy.

I stayed at the Ibis as I was going to a concert at Co op Arena so the location was on the right side of the city for getting there and back on foot. The room was comfortable with controls for the heating and the lighting options and coffee tea were good
